The School Board has arranged for a number of Town Hall style meetings to gather input from the community on what you all would like to see in the qualities of our new Superintendent and the future of education in Los Alamos. All of these town hall meetings will accommodate Spanish speaking community members. The four meetings that have been placed on the calendar are:
*) Tuesday November 18th, 6:15PM at Chamisa School Library in White Rock
*) Wednesday, November 19, 6:45PM at the High School Speech Theater (behind the Gym)
*) Wednesday, November 19, 7:30AM (yes, AM!) – School Board Suite (behind the District Office)
*) Thursday November 20th at 10:30AM in the School Board Suite (behind the District Office)
A representative from our search firm, Ray and Associates, will be attending the meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Also please take part in our online community survey, the link can be found at http://www.laschools.net/SuperintendentSearch
Please understand there will VERY limited public comments at the Board meeting on Thursday November 20th, so please don’t expect to miss these community meetings, ignore the survey and then get a free podium at the Board meeting, because that isn’t going to happen. No offense, but the community is being provided ample opportunity for their input prior to the Board meeting.
